Tiny Princess Celestia Plush by KarasuNezumi Tiny Princess Celestia Plush by KarasuNezumi
Princess Celestia is 13inches tall with embroidered details.

She's up for auction here: www.ebay.com/itm/171077771802?...

Please respect me as a artist, and do not complain about the prices in the comments. My ponies are priced based on the amount of time, fabric, embroidery and work that goes into them. Any comments that do complain will be hidden.

For how small she actually is, the level detail is amazing! I can't imagine the amount of work is must have taken to sew all those designs onto such a small body. In addition, the 13 inch size I think is perfect. You're the only person I've seen make princesses this small; most other princesses are about 2 feet which seem a little to big for something to hold onto and hug in my opinion. Very good job, you are indeed a talented artist.

Do you put something in the plush to make it stand long enough to take a pic? Or does it topple over really quickly? :D

Just curious as to why these plushies are so pricey.

They're also so pricey because artists know that people will pay them.  Bronies are CRAZY and will EASILY drop $300+ on a pony plush.  Especially if it's a princess.

But if you look at it; it took them 20 hours to make it, starting the bid at $315.  That's (without material costs) almost $16 an hour they're charging to make this plush.  I've made plushes myself before, and yes, materials CAN be expensive.  So take out about $50 for material costs.  With that taken out, that knocks her hourly wage down to about $13 an hour.  Now the question becomes, are you willing to pay someone $13 an hour to sit around and make you a plush?

When you put it that way, it's in the same sense as a cosplay being made. So yeah, I see it now.

Yep. And commissioning art. Artists value their time and since they're in demand, they're able to call the shots.

Because they take a lot of time and expensive equipment and expensive materials. They're not "pricey", you're just used to seeing factory prices from China where a thousand workers and machinery makes your junk for under minimum wage.

Fair enough. I did have to pay a pretty penny for a seamstress before, so that does make sense.
