It's Lyra and she's wearing removable socks! She's made from all minky fabrics and stands at 18inches tall.

Also, she is NOT a sock puppet, if you ask me to make her one I will mark your comment as spam. :l

I hear it went for 1000 dollars :O I would die and go to heaven if I got a plush like that... I really want one for my small collection I've got going but most everyone wants 100 dollars for some poorly made ones, I've gotten high quality plushies for the same and even less price...

I'm going to be like everyone else here and just say how adorable her socks are lol. She's a wonderfully constructed pony with excellent embroidery designs (which I know can be hard to do >_< I couldn't tell you how many times I've looked away from my machine for just a second and it somehow managed to pull the bobbin thread up with the top thread and messed up the whole design). Love the sparkle too! =D There's just something awesome about working with metallics :XD:

I love metallic but I find them hard to work with D= The thread seems to break easily when embroidering and if I step away for a second the entire design can be ruined. :l

Also thank you! :D

Oh yeah, definitely hard to work with... I just love how the finished product looks ^^. Have you tried using GŁtermann thread? It's the only metallic that I've been able to find that doesn't break so easily or mess up the whole design because of splitting.

You're welcome!

I actually use that type of thread. It still had the breakage problem but not as much as Sulky. That stuff breaks so easily. :l I hate having a design destroyed because the thread jumps or breaks. :l Sometimes the thread gets caught and my needles break...

I've gone through so many needles...

Oh...wow. It's the only thread I can use that doesn't break like crazy lol. Ughhh I HATE using Sulky! I totally know what you mean though, usually the thread jumps or breaks close to the end for me >_<. Every time I go to embroider a new design I sit right at the machine with my finger hovering over the "pause embroidery" button, staring at the design waiting for something to go wrong. lol. I must look crazy doing it, but it has saved me quite a lot of needles and designs because I can catch the mistakes in time.

The worst thing I've had happen was my machine pulling up a TON of bobbin thread (no idea why) and then a needle snapping because it got caught and ripping a major tear right through my material.

Oh. My. GOSH!

Same thing happens to me and I totally do the same thing that you do now! I sit there... staring... hard... waiting for the machine to screw up! As soon as I heard something off I push the stop button! lmao.

Last week I embroidering Lyra's eyes, and I decided that everything was going good. I had already gotten one eye done and I figured nothing would go wrong. I skipped off for a QUICK potty break and just as I was getting off the potty... I heard this loud CCCLLNNGGG noise followed by a BEEP. My face went: :O

I went into the sewing room and saw that the thread had skipped, the needle broke, and there was a huge hole in the fabric.

Me: ARRRGGHHHHHHH!!!

My boyfriend: I TOLD YOU TO WATCH THAT THING!

Me: I JUST WENT TO POTTY! I WAS GONE FOR LIKE 30 SECS! ARRRGGHH!!

._. I feel better knowing that this is a common thing. I am not the only one that suffers. :l

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I know right?!

You'd think paying tons of money for an embroidery machine would mean it worked well and didn't need to be watched like a toddler who learned how to open doors >.>... I've honestly looked away for like five seconds to let my dog outside and that's when the machine decides to act up! I can only imagine your face lol. I know how I'd react. I might even trip and fall down stairs trying to scramble to get to the machine. :XD:

I've done three things so far without my machine screwing up *crosses fingers* I have a lot to get done tomorrow so I'm hoping this streak will last a little longer.

Honestly I thought I was just doing something wrong, like having the wrong fabric or stabilizer or something... but lately I've been hearing more and more embroidery machine horror stories lol.

Yeap, she is just looking great. :)

I'm quite really tempted for one but I just got skepticism when I have 2 kinds of dolls, one that is so cuddly and so soft but it can't stand on its own, on the hand is with a harder foam rubber for its inside and can stand on its own. I prefer the softer one because it'll be easier to wash while the hard foam one will not, if take a spin in the washer, it's gonna smell for life and bacteria will build up which will become moldy. So I'm not really sure and have the idea is minky, I wish to know about it in Minky 101.
